About Us
Owner and founder of J.R. McIsaac Project Management Group, John McIsaac grew up in Calgary where he earned his Journeyman Carpenter Certification.
Before long, his natural organizational skills and talent for managing building projects led him to complete professional management courses at Mount Royal University (then College) and courses in project scheduling and managing at SAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology). His finely-tuned planning and organization expertise stems back more than 30 years, beginning as field superintendent with a large Calgary area builder.
What we bring to the table:

John moved to Canmore in 1991 where he developed a housing business as founder and president of Bow View Homes Ltd., growing the business over 25 years to its standing as a well-respected builder of quality custom homes. John was directly involved in earning the Best Multi-Family Site Award from the Town of Canmore in 2002.
Known and widely admired for his community-minded spirit, John volunteered his time with the Rotary Club for more than 12 years, a commitment that earned him the prestigious Rotarian of the Year Award in 2010.
John’s belief in helping to build a strong community through involvement extends beyond his work, as he demonstrated as expedition planner and team member on a number of notable mountaineering adventures.
In 1994, he served as climbing leader of a proud Canadian expedition to climb Mount Everest from the north side in Tibet. In 1996, he organized and led a climb of the majestic Himalayan peak Ama Dablam.
A solid team player who works well under pressure, John believes that focussing on people’s strengths and working together as a cohesive team maximizes outcomes that are beneficial to everyone.
When the demands of his work week are met, John continues to enjoy his weekends in the beautiful, wild mountains surrounding his Canmore home, climbing, cycling, skiing and paragliding.
